The Petoskey Steel Drum Band performs 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the corner of Howard and Lake streets. Various businesses will have coat drive boxes out and will be offering additional discounts and incentives for those who donate clean and lightly used coats, gloves, hats or mittens to the Salvation Army. All area members of the armed forces both past and present as well as families of those serving overseas are invited to participate in the band’s salute to the armed forces. The Twenty-First Century Grant Students, a vocal group of youth from area schools, will join the band on stage for two numbers. The band will conclude with a selection of traditional Christmas music. There is no charge for admission but a donation basket will be available at the entrance to the auditorium.
