MORTGAGE SALE
Default has been made in the conditions of a mortgage made by Richard Gorney and Julie Gorney, Husband and Wife, to Ameriquest Mortgage Company, Mortgagee, dated November 19, 2002 and recorded December 13, 2002 in Liber 0921, Page 270, and Loan Modification Agreement Recorded On 12/13/2002 in Liber 921 Page 286, Emmet County Records, Michigan. Said mortgage is now held by Deutsche Bank National Trust Company, as Trustee for Ameriquest Mortgage Securities Inc., Quest Trust 2005-X2, Asset Backed Certificates, Series 2005-X2 by assignment. There is claimed to be due at the date hereof the sum of Two Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-Five and 4/100 Dollars ($226,425.04) including interest at 8% per annum.
Under the power of sale contained in said mortgage and the statute in such case made and provided, notice is hereby given that said mortgage will be foreclosed by a sale of the mortgaged premises, or some part of them, at public vendue at the Division Street entrance to the County Bldg. in Petoskey, MI in Emmet County, Michigan at 11:00 AM on JUNE 13, 2013.
Said premises are located in the Township of Littlefield, Emmet County, Michigan, and are described as:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 9, Township 35 North, Range 4 West; thence West 98.00 feet along the North line of said Section 9; thence South 360.00 feet, parallel to the East 1/8 line of said Section 9, to the point of beginning; thence West 112.00 feet parallel to the North line of said Section 9; thence South 290.00 feet parallel with the East 1/8 line of said Section 9; thence East 140.00 feet parallel with the North line of said Section 9; thence North 290.00 feet parallel with the East 1/8 line of said Section 9; thence West 28.00 feet parallel with the North line of said Section 9 to the point of beginning.
The redemption period shall be 6 months from the date of such sale, unless determined abandoned in accordance with MCLA §600.3241a, in which case the redemption period shall be 30 days from the date of such sale. TO ALL PURCHASERS: The foreclosing mortgagee can rescind the sale. In that event, your damages, if any, are limited solely to the return of the bid amount tendered at sale, plus interest.
If the property is sold at foreclosure sale, pursuant to MCL 600.3278, the borrower will be held responsible to the person who buys the property at the mortgage foreclosure sale or to the mortgage holder for damage to the property during the redemption period.

Spencley, to Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc., as nominee for North American Mortgage Company, its successors or assigns, Mortgagee, dated January 18, 2001 and recorded January 24, 2001 in Liber 0763, Page 091, Emmet County Records, Michigan. Said mortgage is now held by JPMorgan Chase Bank, National Association by assignment. SYNOPSIS
May 22, 2013

The Charlevoix County Board of Commissioners met May 22, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the County Commissioner’s room at the Charlevoix County Building. Commissioner Gillespie was absent.
Motion approved the agenda with the addition of the Resolution for Road Funds Transfer.
Motion approved the consent agenda as presented.
Motion defeated Personnel Committee recommendation to parks committee. The Clerk was instructed to repost for the position. Commissioners Evans, Lasater & Reinhardt voting no.
Motion approved Resolution #13-038, Award Roofing Proposal.
Motion approved Resolution #13-039, Beaver Island Multi-Facility and authorizes the Road Commission to apply for the TIGER grant.
Motion approved Resolution #13-040, Transfer Road Millage Fund, accepting the State’s recommendation and authorizes the Treasurer to move the funds to the Road Commission.
Motion tabled both Resolution #13-041, Lease Agreement and Resolution #13-042, Sublease and referred to Building & Grounds for more information.
Motion adjourned the meeting at 8:15 p.m.

The Eveline Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at the Township Hall on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. to receive comment on the proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance: Articles 1, 4, and 10 of the Eveline Township Zoning Ordinance as related to Lakeshore Protection.

NOTICE OF HEARING

The Hayes Township Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hayes Township Hall located at 09195 Old US 31 North. Community Pool
Annual Meeting

On Thursday, June 6th, at 5:00 PM, the Charlevoix Area Community Pool (CACP) will host its Annual Meeting followed by a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at 6:00 p.m. Both the meeting and dinner will be held at A Matter of Taste at Tapawingo (9502 Lake Street, Ellsworth). Dinner is $18/person; please RSVP by calling the Pool at (231) 547-0982 by May 29th.

The CACP offers aquatic recreational programming to the entire community, regardless of age or ability. The CACP is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. The vision of the Pool is to remain a vital link in our community’s health, safety and recreation by providing programs that meet the changing needs of area children and adults through a safe, professionally managed aquatic facility that is accessible to all.
