NOTICE OF SALE
Default has been made in the condition of a certain mortgage made the 5th day of January, 2006, by Caiden J. Withey and Sarah E. Withey to Northwestern Mortgage Company, and recorded on January 13, 2006, in the office of the Register of Deeds for Emmet County, Michigan, in Liber 1074, Page 486, which was assigned to Northwestern Bank by Assignment of Mortgage recorded at Liber 1140, Page 965,and on which mortgage there is claimed to be due and unpaid at the date of this Notice ONE HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED NINETY-SEVEN AND 37/100 DOLLARS ($147,597.37) and no suit or proceeding at law or in equity has been instituted to recover the debt, or any part of the debt, secured by said mortgage, and the power of sale contained in said mortgage has become operative by reason of such default.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 14, 2012, at 11:00 o’clock in the forenoon in the main lobby of the Emmet County Courthouse, 200 Division, Petoskey, MI 49770, there will be offered for sale and sold to the highest bidder, at public sale, for the purpose of satisfying the amounts due and unpaid upon said mortgage, together with legal costs and charges of sale, including an attorney fee of Seventy-Five ($75.00) Dollars provided by law and in said mortgage, the lands and premises in said mortgage mentioned and described as follows, to wit:

Commencing at the Northwest corner of the South 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 2, Township 34 North, Range 4 West; thence South 870 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence East 1320 feet; thence South 258.5 feet; thence West 1320 feet; thence North 258.5 feet to the Point of Beginning, being a part of the South 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 2.

The redemption period shall be six (6) months from date of sale; provided, however, that if the subject premises are heretofore or hereafter conclusively presumed to have been abandoned pursuant to MCL 600.3241a, the applicable period for redemption shall be thirty (30) days from said date, or otherwise shortened, in accordance with that statute.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
MY 24, 2012


The Board of Emmet County Road Commissioners will hold a public hearing at its offices in Harbor Springs at 8:15 a.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012, for the purposes of discussing the proposed improvements to the following roads in Bear Creek Township:

1. Country Club Road, from Boyer Road to Fletcher Road for a total of 1.44 miles
- Improvements include pavement pulverization, gravel,
intersection concrete curbing, and repaving with hot-mix asphalt

2. Vis A Vis, from Bellmer Road then west for a total of .22 miles.
- Improvements include pavement removal, earth
excavation, gravel and repaving with hot-mix asphalt

All written comments must be received prior to the public hearing at the Emmet County Road Commission Offices located at 2265 E. Hathaway Road, Harbor Springs, Michigan 49740, or e-mail at emmetcrc@emmetcrc.com

Motion refused the right to purchase tax foreclosed property.
Motion approved hiring Tom Towne to fix the damaged siding at library.
Motion approved hiring Willcome Tree Service to remove trees at cemetery.
Motion approved sealing the cemetery fence.
Motion approved purchasing radios, air hammer kit, and new jaws of life equipment for fire department.
Motion approved education for two EMTs.
Motion paid the bills.
Motion adjourned the meeting.

TO REVOKE A
NATURAL BEAUTY ROAD
DESIGNATION ON PORTION
OF ADDIS ROAD

In accordance with the provisions of Act 451 of 1994, Part 357 Natural Beauty Roads, MCL 324.35701, et seq.

Boyne Valley Township has requested that the Charlevoix County Road Commission revoke the designation of a portion of Addis Road as a Natural Beauty road from US-131 to the township transfer station, totaling 1,650 feet or 0.31 mile in Sections 9 & 10, T32N R5W, Boyne Valley Township. The request is to allow for the proposed upgrading and paving of this portion of Addis Road.

The Charlevoix County Road Commission Board will hold a public hearing on the above described request at 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Boyne Valley Township Hall located at 2489 Railroad Street, Boyne Falls, MI 49713. The Charlevoix County Road Commission Board will accept written comments until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at their 1251 Boyne Avenue, P.O. Box 39, Boyne City, MI 49712 office location.

Late comments will not be accepted.

SIGN REGULATIONS


No Signs Are Allowed on Road Right-of-Way

The following regulations apply to the display of all garage/yard sale, auction, political, real estate, open houses, and related signs.

€ These signs shall not exceed 6 square feet per face, shall not have
more than two faces, or be placed higher than 4 feet from ground
level.
€ These signs shall be limited to 1 sign per property per street/road
frontage.
€ No more than two off premise signs shall be permitted and only with
permission of the other property owner.

€ These signs shall be setback at least 5 feet from the front property
line.
€ Signs shall be removed within 24 hours of the event.
Signs in the road right-of-way will be removed to the Township
Hall at the owner’s expense, and may be retrieved prior to disposal
after 30 days.
€ Repeat offenders may receive citations.
