Number of years reporting: Six years. Started at the News-Review in September of 2007.
Education: Bachelor of arts from Central Michigan University. Major in journalism, minor in broadcasting and cinematic arts.

Journalism awards: I don't have any yet, but I plan to in the near future.
Professional, civic organizations you are a member of: I'm a volunteer for the Women's Resource Center of Northern Michigan.
Interests: I enjoy running. I recently got into running marathons about a year-and-a-half ago. My goal is to qualify for and run in the Boston Marathon. I like doing anything that has to do with the outdoors, I think that's why I live in Northern Michigan. Anything I can do that challenges me mentally and physically is all right with me.
Why do you love your job? Because it's different everyday, and I get a chance to meet people who I may never have know otherwise. This job is all about the human experience, and I'm fascinated by it. I am honored and humbled to be able to tell other people's stories.
What makes Northern Michigan a great place to live? Its beauty — it surrounds us and surprises me everyday. Also, I like the fact that the atmosphere is so laid back.
