Apres-Ski
It’s so unstylish to head home after a day on the slopes; instead, some après ski dining, dancing, cocktailing and enjoying area entertainers can help you warm up (and be cool) at the same time.
Entertainment can be found weekends at the snowy base of Boyne Mountain’s slopes, just inside the Snowflake Lounge, in Boyne Falls. Listen to the tunes while enjoying one of the popular hot wines, hot chocolate, schnapps or coffee drinks. The Trophy Room at Boyne Mountain is also a popular post-ski spot for friends and family.
And The Zoo Bar at Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs offers fun and festivities in the spirit of the resort itself. Entertainment and an inviting, warm ambiance make The Zoo Bar one of the most popular post-skiing stops.
With rows of comfy chairs to nestle in while cold toes thaw in front of the lodge fireplace, visitors to Nub’s Nob can whet their whistles with hot or cold beverages in the cafeteria area or with adult beverages inside Nub’s Pub.
Food items include homemade pies, desserts and soups, which can be enjoyed in the large sitting area or taken inside the pub, where TVs and a fireplace create a cozy atmosphere.
“We think after you’re done with a day of skiing, there’s nothing better than a night of skiing,” said Jim Bartlett, general manager of Nub’s Nob. “But if our skiers really want to relax, we’ve got lots to help them.”
Snow lovers will also find a lineup of performers throughout the winter on holidays and Saturdays in the pub.
Outside of the resorts, there are a number of locations to catch food, friends and fun after a day of skiing.
